United by the need to survive. United by patriotism. United by humanity. United by heart.

A masterful way of finding the meaning behind the 9/11 attack.
September 11, 2011. Four planes hi-jacked by extremist terrorist. With all eyes on the watch. Two hit the World Trade Center. Another into the Pentagon, but the last plane. United Airlines Flight 93. Never hit its target and came crashing in the field of Pennsylvania.
In a movie, wherein Muslims are involved. It is too mainstream to begin the film with the villains reading out the Koran, or hearing them offering themselves up to God. By well you know, blowing themselves up with innocent people.
So, the movie did began with that and with the terrorist, together with all the passengers of the flight boarding in.
In the latter part, the action begins.
Director Paul Greengrass makes no attempt to portray the victims/passengers or terrorist as people with history.
He gave the feels of being on that very same plane. Like all the characters on the movie, we know nothing, they know nothing about the tragedy that made the whole world paralyzed.
In the latter part,
After that the passengers knew that the plane was hi-jacked by some terrorist.
And the 'living in the moment" scenes.
and the story goes on, we watch National Air Traffic Control Center, airport towers, regional air traffic stations, and a military command room got into confusion, frustration and the attempt to do their job and save the day.
and the 'becoming aware' part begins, and the passenger decided to never back down, and try to save their lives.
All characters depicted in the movie are not shown as heroes, nor presented as american reuniting, but people whose primary concern is self preservation. Reality.
But out of their attempt to rescue themselves, they became heroes of their race.
Saving millions by the lives of few.
Few strangers uniting.
And the famous part begins,
Because there's no other way. A random one said "Let's Roll".
and the action began with the passengers trying to enter the cockpit and wanting to gain control to the plane.
And the story ends with this:
This real story of tragedy -and the rest is history- will surely move you.
September 11, 2011. The day that everything changed. Except COURAGE.
